张振阳上小学才开始系统训练，在足球名校万松园路小学学球，回忆小学的启蒙时光，他说：“我爸经常带我去新华路看卓尔比赛，之前代表学校，我在卓尔比赛中场休息的时候踢过热身赛，那时候还进了一个球。全场球迷欢呼声震耳欲聋，感觉特别好。我就想以后长大了，一定要代表武汉足球站在顶级舞台上。”
“其实他们完全可以让我在外面过早，就是怕我吃不好，所以每天都给我准备便当，天还没亮，就要起来忙活。晚上回到家都已经九点多十点了，还要写作业，有时候写着写着就睡着了，但不感觉累，那时候是真喜欢。”
小学毕业后，张振阳被武汉选拔到巴塞罗那留洋，回顾这段充满未知的冒险，他说：“最大的困难是语言，出国前，俱乐部进行了语言培训，我没认真学，出去后就后悔了。其他队友有分在一个班的，而我就一个人，身边全是西班牙小孩。”
回国后，在青少年联赛他遭遇了重大打击，几乎放弃足球。“21年那会儿，姜坤指导带我们，在一次比赛中，我肋骨骨折。因伤休息了两个多月，但第一次恢复训练，就再度复发。复发代表又要休息，一年来大部分时间都报销了，我当时心态真的很崩溃，甚至怀疑到底要不要坚持。”
姜坤让张振阳回想一下自己多年的坚持，这样放弃甘心吗？“是啊，我才十几岁，这时候放弃算什么？空留遗憾吗？”
是姜坤的灵魂拷问以及后续对他的帮助，才让他有了后面在中乙、足协杯的亮相，也才有了前几日的绝杀。“人生路上总有坎坷，要感恩遇见，尤其是没有血缘关系的人对你好，要加倍感恩。”
初登职业联赛，张振阳就获得了首发机会，但失误不少，“外界质疑声很大，教练扛下了所有的压力，他总是笑着告诉我们，不要在意外界的声音，要专注自己。”当时的主教练，正是姜坤。后来，球队6轮不败，成功保级，张振阳贡献了1球2助攻。
随后征战U21联赛，三镇遇到了严重的资金问题，但一线队和U21队员都在坚持。“2023年没出线，所以，这次预赛阶段，我们的目标就是出线。过程比较坎坷，但好在完成目标了，进入正赛后，第一轮与实力相对较弱的深足勉强打成3比3，当时没想着能夺冠。教练要我们把每场比赛都当成最后一场，每天都要比头一天更努力一点。”
在争冠的关键占中，他们输给了津门虎，“队内气氛很紧张，因为我们很可能和冠军无缘了。当时教练说过一句话，‘不要把选择权交给别人，要把命运掌握在自己手上’。”带着这股劲，三镇U21最终问鼎冠军，姜坤说的那句话，成了张振阳的座右铭。
张振阳记得，夺冠后，所有球员包括教练都流泪了，这也是他第二次看到姜坤哭。“一方面是压力释放了，另一方面，大家都想通过这个冠军为俱乐部做点什么。虽然我们当时不知道未来会怎么样，但这就是我们能做的。”
今年，张振阳面临双线作战，主要在B队参加中乙，有时候会到一线队打中超。他会利用通勤时间复盘中乙比赛，或了解新一轮中超的备战思路。如他在万松园路小学时一般，忙碌且充实。
3年，从中乙到U21联赛，再到中乙和中超间来回奔波，忙碌中体验着职业足球百态。经历过降级风险，也在十分困难的情况下拿到了U21联赛冠军。
“我应该感到很幸运，能有这么多的比赛踢，在中乙得到了更多锻炼，也赢得了打中超的时间，好多人没有这样的机会，我很珍惜。”张振阳说。他还说，自己相信一句话：“即使身处逆境，也要争取掌握自己的命运。”
